Becoming a Member

Guests have an open invitation to join us in worship at CrossPointe at all times, and we appreciate our guests very much. If you have been with us a couple of times, and feel drawn to the idea of becoming part of our family, the process is easy:

Talk to Pastor Harv or any other ministry leader and let us know of your interest in membership. We regularly conduct Membership 101 classes and you can find out when the next one begins. Membership 101 is about 4 hours of instruction which provides an in-depth look at CrossPointe, from the standpoint of new membership. You will have an opportunity to establish a known saving relationship with Jesus, and to confess your faith in Christ, which is an important requirement for membership. We'll help you discover your unique set of spiritual gifts, your strengths and weaknesses. You will also learn of the vast array of possibile service opportunities, and get help to match up your unique gifts and abilities with the purpose and place of service that God has for you here at CrossPointe.

After you complete Membership 101, you will have an opportunity to make a formal declaration of membership during one of our Sunday services, and to be welcomed prayerfully and joyfully in our family of growing believers.

Members are expected to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ, to regularly attend Sunday services, to join a Life Group, to find a fitting and spiritually rewarding position of service within the church, and to tithe to the church according to your financial ability.

Church membership means you become part of our spiritual family, and we take care of our family. During times of crisis, despair, or tragedy, the church family will surround you with love and care. During times of achievement, accomplishment, victory, and blessing, we will celebrate with you and cheer you on to even greater things in Christ Jesus!!
